Dr. Wyne holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science (Database), an M.Sc. in Engineering, and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering. Currently, he serves as a Professor of Computer Science and is deeply involved in program development and streamlining existing programs to meet the future demands of academia. He is the Academic Program Director for the MS in Computer Science and has also served as the Program Lead for the MSc in Database Administration, BS in Information Systems, and BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Previously, he has held roles such as Chair of the NU Research Council, Chair of the Council of Chairs, Chair of the Undergraduate Council Program Review Committee, Chair of the Graduate Council Program Review Committee, and Chair of the School of Academic Affairs Committee, among many other NU, school, and department-level committees. Dr. Wyne's association with ABET (Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology) in the US dates back to 2001, where he has served as a certified program evaluator for BSc in Computer Science and BSc in Information Systems. He has also served as a Commissioner for the Computer Accreditation Commission (CAC) and as an ABET Visit Team Chair from 2010-2015. With over 34 years of teaching experience in five different countries, Dr. Wyne has been privileged to be part of the DESY Group (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron) in Hamburg, Germany, as a research fellow, and has collaborated with an MIT group led by a Nobel laureate. In the research domain, Dr. Wyne has secured numerous grants and has served on multiple international Ph.D. thesis committees. He has been a member of the editorial boards for seven international journals and has served as Chair and Co-Chair for 15 international conferences. He has been invited as a speaker to several international conferences, chaired panel discussions, and numerous international conference sessions. He has also served on more than 300 international conference program committees and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. He is an active member of ACM, ASEE, and CSAB. Throughout his career, Dr. Wyne has received numerous awards, including the 2019 Outstanding Achievement Award from the 15th International Conference on Frontiers in Education, Computer Science, and Computer Engineering (FECS'19), the 2018 Dedication to Student Success Award from National University, the 2015-16 Fulbright Scholar Award, the 2015 National University Bridge Award finalist for Collaboration, Communication, and Collegiality, the 2014 ABET Appreciation Certificate for conducting a challenging accreditation visit as team chair, the 2013 and 2018 National University Professoriate Award, and the 2006 Golden Apple Award from the University of Michigan-Flint. He has also received two best paper awards at peer-reviewed international conferences.
