Dr. Kimball is a Mental Performance Coach in the Greater Boston area and started his mental performance coaching business, GTK Sports, nearly 25 years ago. He has provided workshops and coaching sessions to youth sport, high school, collegiate, professional, and Olympic level athletes and teams, and also provides Executive Coaching services to high performers in Sales, Business, Tech, and Healthcare. Dr. Kimball began teaching as an adjunct faculty member at the undergraduate level in 2006 within the Psychology Department at Northeastern University in Boston. He started teaching online courses with Argosy University in 2010, where he became the Program Director of the Masters in Sport Psychology Program. Dr. Kimball designed the curriculum and created the Northcentral (now National University) Masters of Science program in Sport Psychology and the Ph.D. in Sport and Performance Psychology program at National University. He currently serves as the Program Director for each. Dr. Kimball received his B.A. (1994) in Mass Communications from the University of Hartford and received his M.S. (1998) and Ph.D. (2001) in Sport Psychology from Springfield College. He has served as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) with the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) and a member of the United States Olympic Sport Psychology Registry. He is currently an experienced practitioner, non-certified CMPC mentor for AASP. In his spare time, Dr. Kimball enjoys distance running, completed 8 marathons, coached for one of the Boston Marathon Charity Teams and published the book, Grateful Running: Mental Training for the Long Distance Runner (2nd edition)
