Kalana Greer is an associate professor that has taught in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program since 2015. She is chair of the Review and Advisement Committee and member for the Admissions Committee in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program. She has served on the National University Senate, and is currently a member of the JFKSOPSS School Council. She is also a practicing clinician, and does community speaking, consultation, and workshops regarding mental health, cultural sensitivity and dignity, and social justice for historically oppressed people. Kalana is a graduate of the John F. Kennedy University Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program, and University of California Berkeley with majors in African American Studies and Psychology. In 2023 she received a NAACP community "Rising Star" award for her work as a psychologist in East Contra Costa County. Kalana serves on dissertation committees in the PsyD program, and has research interests related to cultural/ethnic/racial identity, trauma, abuse, and general wellness.
