Dr. Rieder received a BS in Psychology with Honors and Distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She went on to earn a MS and a PhD, both in Clinical Psychology with Health Psychology specialization from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Rieder completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina and became licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in South Carolina in 2004. From 2004-2013, Dr. Rieder operated a private practice, Palmetto Health Psychology, LLC. Today, Dr. Rieder focuses on teaching, and is currently the Academic Program Director for Health Psychology in NU’s JFK School of Psychology and Social Sciences.
