Eugene Wilkerson is a professor in the Department of Leadership, Management, and Human Capital in the School of Business and Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Research, and Policy from the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs, an MS in Organizational Leadership and Ethics from St. Edwards University, and a BS in Political Science from Middle Tennessee State University. He holds the prestigious Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification (SPHR) from the Society for Human Resource Management. He recently completed a Strategic Management Performance Systems Certificate at George Washington University. Eugene has fifteen years of experience with a Fortune Top 50 organization, State Farm Insurance and Financial Services, five years in insurance operations, and ten years in human resources (five years in leadership roles). At Regis University in Denver, Colorado, he held several leadership roles, including Department Chair, Center for Workforce Ethics and Lifelong Learning Director, and Assistant Dean of Mission and Student Success. At Northcentral University, he was the Dean of the School of Business and, in 2022, was appointed Co-Interim President. Following the merger, he served as Vice Provost of Strategy and Student Success before electing to return to faculty. Eugene has an interdisciplinary research agenda, and his interest includes organizational development, human resources leadership, regenerative development (sustainability), and entrepreneurship. In 2019, he released a co-edited book titled Regenerative Urban Development, Climate Change, and the Common Good with several colleagues. He recently presented a paper at the Canada International Conference on Education that focused on expanding interdisciplinary opportunities throughout higher education. Eugene lives in Denver, Colorado, and is on the Board of Directors for Habitat of Humanity of Colorado.
