Richard Thompson

Richard Thompson serves as a professor in the School of Business and Economics, where he also served most recently as the academic program director for the One-on-One MBA program. He currently works with students at the masters and doctorate levels including dissertation students. Richard has forty years of experience in academic roles in higher education, including faculty and administrative positions and has worked exclusively in the on-line environment since 1999. He has served in administrative roles including BBA/MBA Program Chair, Founding Dean of the School of Business, Dean of Academic Administration, and the Chief Academic Officer (interim), and Vice President of Academic Affairs. He has served his last eight years with NCU/NU with the last seven years in our virtual classrooms. Richard received his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado in 1993. Richard lives in Broomfield, CO with his wife and together they have four grown children and two grandchildren.
