Dr. Michael MacKinnon

Dr. MacKinnon is a Nurse Anesthesiologist and family nurse practitioner in Arizona & California. He received his doctorate from the University of Alabama (ROLLTIDE) in 2018! He was inducted as a fellow in the AANA in 2021. He has a special interest in ultrasound regional anesthesia, independent practice and the business of anesthesia and point of care ultrasound. Dr. MacKinnon has been lecturing for over 15 years at various conferences, hospitals and programs and is part owner in CE2 (www.ce2you.com) which trains CRNAs in the use of ultrasound and non-surgical pain management. Dr. MacKinnon bas working in Independent CRNA practice since graduation and is currently a partner/owner in a group of 17 CRNAs in a CRNA only practice in rural Arizona and is the assistant program director and Associate Professor at the National University Nurse Anesthesiology program in Fresno, California. In the professional arena, Dr. MacKinnon has served on the Arizona Assoc. of Nurse Anesthesiology Board of Directors and two terms as President. Also served on multiple AANA committees such as the Current AA Task Force Chair, past Nominating Committee Chair and as a member of CMS committees and am currently Region 5 Board of Director for the American Assoc.of Nurse Anesthesiology
