Judith Cannon, PhD (she, her, hers) earned her PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) from Texas Woman’s University in 1988 and has been in private practice for 37 years. She is a fulltime faculty in the MFT program at National University (previously Northcentral University), and she taught at other universities prior to joining National. In addition to teaching and private practice, Judith has provided consulting to businesses and community organizations. Her research interest is in mental health services for trans and gender-expansive individuals, couples, and families. She is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and Fellow. Her approach is strength-based, holistic and collaborative. She is queer and an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist. She is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California (#93465) and Texas (#1918).
