Credential Students
The Mission of the School of Education is to prepare educators as lifelong learners, reflective practitioners, and ethical professionals.
The mission is accomplished in a learning community through professional preparation programs, partnerships with schools, and educational research.
Forecasters agree that the demand for elementary and secondary school teachers will outpace most other occupations in the new millennium. Qualified teachers, school psychologists, counselors, and K-12 administrators prepared to work with students in a diverse, multicultural environment are needed.
Unprecedented growth in the K-12 student population with teacher and administrator retirements translates to a very desirable job market for the education professional. Educators also need to pursue ongoing professional development in order to keep pace with changing technology and the social and cultural environments in which they live and teach.
The School of Education offers a broad range of educational opportunities to prepare you for the challenges of K-12 education.
